Louis Daniel Scherer was an American football coach in the United States. He was an alumnus of the University of Chicago.
==Coaching career==
Scherer was the head college football coach for the Baker Wildcats located in Baldwin City, Kansas. He held that position for 3 seasons, from 1910 until 1912.〔
〕 His coaching record at Baker was 8 wins, 13 losses and 2 ties.
